The Best Cookie Recipe | Cookie Bow
Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!
So I have had this post idea for a very long time and I finally had a chance to share it with you all because last weekend I made these cookies so I could take some pictures! I discovered this recipe on Zoella's vlog channel (MoreZoella) if you were wondering and I would have to say these are my favourite cookies. Here is the recipe, hope you enjoy:)
IMPORTANT: Preheat your oven to 200° if you have a fan oven and 210° if you have a normal oven.
This recipe makes 10 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200g unsalted butter (room temp.)
- 1 large egg
- Big white chocolate bar and big Dairy Milk bar
- 75g cocoa powder
- 300g caster sugar
- 275g self-raising flour
1. First prepare two fairly big baking trays (enough space for 5 cookies on each) with greaseproof paper.
2. Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl. You can do this with a wooden spoon or electric mix but a wooden spoon works better. If the butter is not mixing and is too hard put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
3. Crack the egg into the bowl and mix in.
4. Put the self-raising flour into a separate bowl or container and gradually add it in the bowl and mix with each addition of flour. You don't need to sift the flour before adding it.
6. Add all the cocoa powder in and mix everything together thoroughly.
5. Break up the chocolate into singular squares and add it into the bowl. You can use however much chocolate you'd like but I'd recommend using all of it for best results:) Mix the chocolate in and make sure it is evenly distributed.
6. Roll the cookie dough into equal sized balls and place 5 on each baking tray.
7. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes and when they are finished let them cool.
8. Enjoy your yummy cookies!!
If you make the cookies then please leave a comment if you liked them and if you interpret the recipe please let me know.
See you in my next blog post:)
