Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!
(Skip this paragraph if you really don't care about where I've been and want to read about my skincare routine) :)
It's been a very long time, the last time I wrote a blog post was February I believe! A lot of people ask why youtubers and bloggers 'never post' on their channels or blogs. If you are not part of the YouTube or blogging community it is hard to understand why people take such long breaks. Some people seem to think it is as easy as clicking new post, then typing a few words then pressing publish. If you want good content for your readers, it really takes a lot more time and effort than that. For example, taking photos for a blog can take a very long time. It includes taking the photos (and you have to wait for good lighting for this) and trying to get them off your device onto a computer (which can be frustrating at times). I am also busy with school, gymnastics and doing things with my friends so there is not necessarily time to blog every single day. However, in my spare time when I feel like writing some blog posts I will, and that way I think the quality will be better and you will enjoy reading the posts more. Please comment what you think:)
Today I will be sharing my current skincare routine (evening and morning). I think skincare is important because if you don't look after your skin, the make up that goes on top will not look very good. This is why I always prep my skin before make up and take off the make up in the evening so I have a fresh face in the morning. Here are the products I use on a daily basis and how I use them:
Morning
To start off my morning skincare routine I will just splash my face with some warm water to open up my pores and so I can cleanse my face. The cleanser I use is the Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Cleansing Milk. I really like this cleanser because it feels very creamy on your face, doesn't dry it out and makes your face feel very clean. After I've washed my face with the cleanser I squeeze out a flannel in warm water and wipe all the cleanser off. The flannel exfoliates my skin so it doesn't feel tight. I then pat my skin dry with a towel and dot some of the Clean&Clear Dual Action moisturiser around my face. Even though this moisturiser is oil-free I still notice that is makes my face look quite shiny. I wouldn't say it gets rid of spots or blemishes but it does prevent them.
Evening
The first thing I do is take off my eye make-up with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. This is by far the best make up remover I have ever tried. It gets every last bit of make up off your face and it does not sting at all so is great for sensitive skin. After that I cleanse my whole face with the Nivea Sensitive Cleansing Milk to gently wash off my base make up. I then wipe the Garnier Refreshing Toner over my face with a cotton pad to sooth my skin and get rid of any last bits of make up. After that I dot the Boots Simply Sensitive Night Moisturiser on my face and rub it in. This moisturiser has aloe vera in it so that is also soothing on the skin. The last thing I do it dab a small amount of tea tree oil on any blemishes as this helps to get rid of spots.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Comment below your favourite skincare product!
